For the specialty of Sport and Exercise Medicine to thrive
and prosper, medical education needs to be encouraged and
supported more than ever. The specialists in this area need to
gain control over their own specialty and move forwards with
the confidence to establish roles and job creation for the
doctors of the future. There are many other countries wanting
to establish Sport and Exercise Medicine as a specialty and
they are looking to Great Britain, amongst others, to set
an example.
